Because the Fitness Center at Sumner Station is a medical fitness center, we want to ensure that you are exercising in a safe environment and that you do not have any health concerns that would prevent you from exercising. When you join the Fitness Center at Sumner Station, we will complete a health history and we will assess you for health risks.

If any health risks are identified in which exercise is contraindicated, we will seek clearance from your physician. Once clearance is received, a health and fitness assessment will be completed, and you will receive a personal consultation with our expert staff.

Another benefit offered to our members is access to our staff of health and fitness professionals who are highly trained including exercise specialist, registered dieticians, registered nurses, and physical therapists. In addition, our fitness specialists have all earned a degree in exercise science or a related field and are certified by nationally recognized organizations.
